Meet: Carmen Lence

I am a compassionate, highly-experienced executive coach and family business consultant with an international business background and a passion for facilitating the successes of family businesses and their next generation leaders.

I provide clients with coaching, training, and leadership development, helping them identify their goals, then develop and implement action plans to meet them. I specialize in coaching next generation members of family businesses, providing guidance on succession planning, leadership development, and managing conflict among family members. I also work with families in the development of Family Business Constitutions and implementation of best practice for family companies.

In addition to an International MBA and certifications as an Executive Coach and Co-Active® Coach, I am certified as a Family Business Advisor, credentialed as a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator practitioner, and certified as a 360 Leadership Circle Assessment Practitioner. I have undergone numerous notable trainings and am well versed in a wide range of assessment tools and leadership development techniques.

Born in a family of entrepreneurs, I set up my first business venture at the early age of fourteen. I have several years of work experience in management at corporations and family businesses. Currently, I am a board member of our family company, Grupo Lence Torres S.L. in Spain, actively involved in determining the company’s future.

My professional work also involves founding the Next Generation Family Business Forum in Galicia (North Spain), an association that aims to support and educate next generation members of family businesses. I served the forum as president for two years. Also, I have had the opportunity to live and work in different countries where I have always contributed to positively impact the entrepreneurial community. As an example, I have worked as leadership coach, trainer and consultant for Women’s Initiative in San Francisco, an NGO that helps low-income women to create and run their own businesses. Later on, during the time I lived in Greece, I worked to create a Family Business Association that would promote educational events and networking for family business in Greece.
